Drop Off & Pick Up
Children should not be dropped off to come in on their own, and should not leave the building unattended. We are only responsible for the children from when they pass into our care until they have been collected.
Short-term parking at Blackbird Leys is free; you need a ticket from the machine however.
Lead coaches’ phone numbers
These are for emergencies on the day of the class only
- Mondays 07958 200452
- Tuesdays 07791 919535
- Wednesdays 07415 728396
- Thursdays 07415 728396
We ask that children come into the class in suitable clothing.
Boys should wear shorts and t-shirt; a leotard for girls is preferable, but shorts or leggings and t-shirt are also acceptable. The children should always have with them suitable track-suit trousers and top (not flapping round their feet, and no zips, straps, etc.).
No jewellery, watches, etc., may be worn in the gym. Those with newly-pierced ears should cover the studs with micropore or similar tape.
Hair should be neatly pinned and/or tied back off the face with soft hairbands or scrunchies and flat sprung slides.
A bag in which shoes, coats, etc., can be kept must be provided. All belongings must be placed tidily in the gym; please name items of club kit.
Shoes and socks will be removed for gym.
Food & Drink
On no account should children eat or chew gum during the class.
It is a good idea for children to have a still drink, preferably water, with them.
All the club coaches have up-to-date first aid training.
We keep a basic first aid kit to hand. If your child needs his or her own medication, e.g. inhaler, please make sure they have it with them.
In the gym, the children will be under the supervision and authority of the qualified coaches. They should obey the coaches at all times. It is also very important that parents and carers follow the coaches’ instructions. Safety in the gym is of the utmost importance.
